Vamos Central

About Vamos Central

Vamos Central is our group for adults aged 18 years plus with mild to moderate learning disabilities

The group meets weekly in term time to learn theatre skills (including the full mask for which Vamos Theatre is internationally renowned), have fun, be playful, and create and share inspiring theatre.

Led by experienced practitioners, Vamos Central is a place to discover and develop performance skills in a safe and supportive environment, where everyone is valued and treated with respect.

All sessions follow the latest Government guidelines re Covid 19, with sessions transferring to Zoom where necessary. The group is thriving and enquiries for membership are welcome. To find out the latest on sessions, and for term dates and prices, please get in touch.

Vamos Theatre is committed to a practice which protects children, young people and vulnerable adults from harm. You can view our Safeguarding Policy here.

Vamos Central receives financial assistance from The Elmley Foundation, The Ironmongers' Company and The Eveson Trust with additional support from Worcester Arts Council and Arts Council England.

See Vamos Central perform

Vamos Central proudly presents...Connect.

Crisp mornings and fallen leaves.
Snowballs and icicles.
Spring showers and daisies.
Warm summer evenings and sandy toes.

In a devised piece of theatre fusing BSL, movement and mask, Vamos Central explores how we connect with each other as the seasons change – touching, gentle and funny non-verbal theatre from Vamos Theatre’s adults with learning disabilities company. Performances will be followed by a short post show chat with the company.
