THE CREATIVE TEAM: DRAMA ANALYSIS AND EVALUATION

Are you interested in how a professional theatre production is made, from first ideas to first night and beyond? This module guides you and your students through the making of our five star touring production, Dead Good, including filmed interviews, show clips, and tasks set especially by our creative team. It gives a thorough overview of what it takes to make a touring production and the creative roles involved.

Who's it suitable for?

This module is for KS3 upwards (11-18yrs). It gives a really practical overview of theatre making and performing, which can benefit both written and practical aspects of Performing Arts and Drama assessment. It is especially useful for students opting for technical roles within practical assessments.

What you get

• Five unit lessons, guiding the teacher and student through the process of creating a production.
• Filmed interviews with creative professionals, including the lighting designer, composer, sound designer, set and costume designer, and projection designer.

THE ART OF CARE

The Art of Care explores empathetic dementia care and  the art of connection beyond words. Through ten bite sized films, the course looks at what good care is: not perfect care — good care, kind care, fun care - the kind of care we’d all want for ourselves. Originally commissioned by, and made in collaboration with, PrimeLife care homes, this coures gives carers real life tools and ideas to use in daily life, showing how even very small shifts in approach can create profound changes in the care we give. The ten joyful short films use scenes performed by actors to show best-practice care in action, exploring non-verbal skills such as eye contact, mirroring, deep listening and touch, and specific situations such as mealtimes. 

Who's it suitable for?
The Art of Care is for anyone who cares for people living with dementia, whether professionally or in the home.
