Vamos Emerging Artists Taster Workshops

We are excited to introduce our new Vamos Emerging Artists programme.

We want to discover the next generation of 18- 24-year-old mask performers from diverse communities across the UK. Working with seven partner venues, we are inviting emerging and inquisitive young artists to take part in FREE or subsidised mask taster sessions. Join us for a quick-paced mask performance workshop where participants will learn Vamos Theatre’s approach to mask work, creating physical character and devising non-verbal theatre that connects and moves audiences.

From the taster workshops, we will bring together a group of emerging artists for a residency in summer 2022 to create and perform mask theatre from shared stories and backgrounds.

We welcome all, and particularly encourage artists from diverse ethnic backgrounds to apply. Vamos Theatre is an inclusive company; please let us know how we can make accessing this programme easier for you.
