About the commission
Vamos Theatre worked with movement play specialists JABADAO on a this Special Commission from Sanctuary Care, designed to engage care home residents and carers through dance and play.
The commission brought young people and elders together, as members of Vamos Young People's Theatre were trained by JABADAO in ways of engaging with older people, as well as safety, stage management, and observation. The young people then took part in performance events in care homes and health care settings, which were received with positivity and enthusiasm.
