We're delighted to welcome the new A Brave Face team to Worcester this week, as they start rehearsals for our upcoming tour of the UK and Germany.

We've four new cast members to welcome to the team.

Jimmy will be played by João Ricardo Aguiar, who has been performing with a range of theatre companies in Brazil and Portugal since 1996 and is now based in Bristol.

Ravi will be played by Joshua Patel, a freelance theatre practitioner based in Gloucester, and currently joint-company director of The Fabularium, a Coventry-based theatre company.

Tessa Gaukroger, a South West based performer, deviser and improviser, plays Jane (Ryan’s Mum) and Troop Sergeant Alex.

Katie (Ryan’s sister) and Khatera will be played by Sophia Knox-Miller, who has performed her original clown work throughout the world, including Peru, New York and California.

Vamos Theatre Associate Artist and leading mask actor, James Greaves, will be returning to play Ryan, the young soldier at the centre of the story.

On tour with the cast will be Tour Technician Paul Milford, who's worked, amongst others, for The Point Eastleigh and The Nuffield Theatre in Southampton.

We'd also like to welcome two new members to the production team: Production Manager, Ali Fowler and Projection Designer, Daniel Hill. We'll also have the wonderful Sarah Hawkins back as rehearsal stage manager, keeping us all in order...

It's great to have everyone aboard, and we're looking forward to an exciting rehearsal period!
