We would love it if you could join us for the Vamos Theatre Emerging Artist Class of 2022 Scratch Performance, Who is Next Door?
Over the last 6 months, we've been running workshops across the country to find the most exciting early-career mask actors in the UK. This June, we're bringing them together for a four-day residency of play and devising, working with personal stories, special objects and the Vamos Theatre team to create a joyous, playful and touching scratch performance.
Who is Next Door? is about neighbours and community. Do we know who lives next door? What happens on the other side of that wall? We all have neighbours, but who are they? They are you and me. We all have stories. Stories of love, tales of mishap; nothing is too big or too small to mention. It's what makes us unique.
Honor Hoskins, Vamos Theatre's Creative Producer, comments, "“I am so excited about this project. It is brilliant to be working with young artists nationally, to hear their stories and share our mask skills and provide training, so they can confidently reinvent and reimagine non-verbal theatre skills in their own work. The strength of working with our fantastic partner venues means we have been able to connect with diverse groups of artists that may never have heard of Vamos Theatre before, and we would not have had the gift of meeting before this project.”
Come and join us and celebrate the Emerging Artist Class of 2022.
