We're delighted to be partnering with Walsall Virtual School to create a film that helps support care-experienced young people transition from primary to secondary school.

Starting this month, creative producer Honor Hoskins and film maker Daniel Hill will be working with care-experienced young people aged 10 and 14 years in Walsall, leading a series of writing and development workshops to create material for a short film.

The young people taking part will be central in guiding the content and direction of the film, as well as performing in it using Vamos Theatre masks.

The audience for the finished film will be other care-experienced young people who are soon to leave primary school, and it will be used to share a positive message about moving up to secondary school, allaying fears and increase confidence at this time of change.
