If you’re a teacher in an educational organisation, our digital learning portal, mask.ED, is completely free to use for 8 weeks from January 17th to Mar 5th, 2023.
Mask.ED, aimed at schools and colleges from KS3 upwards, is the home to learning modules themed around mask, physical and non-verbal theatre. Each module in Mask.ED includes practical film-based teaching along with comprehensive, easy-to-use notes and lesson support.
The period of free access is to celebrate the launch of our latest digital learning module, The Creative Team: Drama Analysis and Evaluation which guides students through the real life making of a theatre production and includes interviews, show clips, set tasks and access to a full-length, filmed Vamos Theatre performance.
The free period also gives access to the Mask.ED module Using Mask in Drama, a lively and practical introduction to mask and physical performance. The five units in the module cover each of the mask foundation skills essential to physical confidence on stage and includes games and exercises, performance techniques, exerts from professional theatre scenes and language for learning.
There are still four weeks left of free access and registering is easy - teachers need to send an email to learning@vamostheatre.co.uk with the subject line ‘Free mask.ED’. You'll be contacted and asked to register so you can receive your login details.
