This autumn, you can see our Walkabout acts out and about at festivals.

On the last weekend of the month (Sept 26th), our new act-in-waiting, Uber Happy, will be performing as research and development at various locations at FeastFest, Royal Docks, London – a festival dedicated to those who love theatre, food and life. Developed with support from Ensemble Festival, Uber Happy is a work-in-progress act, based on original work made during the pandemic with Chinese artists over Zoom – seen by over 12,000 people at the Modern Drama Valley Festival, Shanghai. Uber Happy celebrates the courageous and chaotic world of delivery drivers, featuring three bike-riding drivers, bonkers dance routines and the silliest of music.

And in early November, our Cheapskate Caterers will be bringing silliness, clumsiness, inappropriate flirting, over-attentiveness, drunken and attention-seeking behaviour of all kinds to Shout Festival, the West Midlands’ only combined festival of queer arts and culture. We’ll be part of a fantastic tea dance at the  Edwardian Tea Rooms at Birmingham Museum and Gallery – an event not to be missed!
