We're delighted to announce the appointment of a new Vamos Theatre Associate Artist, James Greaves (centre).

Widely considered to be the foremost mask performer in the country, James co-founded Trading Faces Theatre Company in 1987, specialising in physical theatre and mask work, and from 1989 worked extensively with Trestle Theatre Company taking mask performance all over the world, from Tashkent to Sydney and Tokyo to Taunton. He performed in many Trestle classics, including Top Storey, State of Bewilderment, Blood and Roses, Adventures of the Stoneheads and Beggars Belief.

James first joined Vamos Theatre to perform in Finding Joy, taking on the role of Danny. Since then he’s toured throughout the UK and Europe with the show, performed in the UK tour of Nursing Lives, and led mask workshops for Vamos across the UK. You can currently see James as Ryan in our latest show, A Brave Face, now on a UK and European tour.

It’s fantastic to have James as part of the Vamos Theatre Associate team, joining current Associates Janie Armour (composer), Carl Davies (set and costume designer), Alan Riley (performer and director), Sarah Hawkins (performer) and Richard J Fletcher (performer).
