Celebrating 2023

JANUARY - teachers get 8 weeks free access to our digital learning area, mask.ED

FEBRUARY - we win the Editor's Choice for our Creative Learning programme at the Drama & Theatre Magazine Education Awards

MARCH - our new production Boy on the Roof goes into the rehearsal room for the first time

APRIL - we celebrate the first year of our Environmental Action Plan

MAY - we launch Vamos Central Youth, our drama group for young people with mild to moderate learning disabilities

JUNE - we bring together a fantastic group of early career artists for a week's training as part of Vamos Emerging Artists 2023

JULY - Vamos Theatre heads to MIMOS, the largest festival of mime in Europe, to train international performers

AUGUST - we launch a series of residencies to introduce deaf students to mask and increase opportunities within the industry

SEPTEMBER - we create Mischief! especially for people with sensory issues, learning disabilities, autism and dementia

OCTOBER - our new production Boy on the Roof starts rehearsals before our Spring 2024 tour

NOVEMBER - Tamara Shumarina of Kherson Puppet Theatre Ukraine joins us on a cultural exchange, supported by The British Council

DECEMBER - it's an early Christmas present when we're awarded funding from Garfield Weston Foundation for our Creative Learning
