We’d like to say a big thank you to all our amazing audiences who came to see Sharing Joy over the last few weeks.

Sharing Joy, which is an interactive performance created for people living with dementia, learning disabilities and other neurological conditions travelled to a variety of venues, including care homes, nursing homes, theatres who hosted the show, day centres, colleges and community centres.

We’ve had some fantastic feedback from audiences, venues and care homes. Here are some of our favourites to share:

We invited an incredible theatre group into Headway Worcestershire on Friday. They're called Vamos Theatre and make everyone feel included and very much part of the show. CEO Mandie Fitzgerald says: "I have never seen our clients so happy and engaged" Thank you!
Headway Worcestershire

Wow! once again you have exceeded and brought much Joy to our residents' lives. The wonderful interaction you all have makes such a magical performance to watch. One of our residents Jo said "it's the friendship they give, and I hope we remain friends."  Another Jo said "the show brought back memories and reminded her of dancing with the Americans in the war"; Mary said "it made her laugh". The staff said, “it literally does make you dance with Joy and leaves you feeling happy and part of something very special".
Helen Park - Regents Care Home (Sanctuary Care)

Just to say how much I and everyone else enjoyed the performance this afternoon, lots of laughter, singing and dancing really lifted the spirit.
Kate Richmond, SYDNI Centre, Leamington Spa

You can probably tell that I was blown away by the show and this theatre group. They have absolutely mastered both the art and craft of performance. That so talented a group of people should dedicate their skills to entertain and include people dealing with a huge variety of physical, emotional and neurological problems says much about the individuals that make up Vamos.

Both my mum and I had a fantastic time. Everyone involved was so lovely. My mum is still talking about it and says it's the best show she has ever seen. She was so chuffed that one of the actors kissed her.
Kathy Cronin, Waterside Theatre Aylesbury

We’d like to thank everyone involved in making Sharing Joy such a success – all our audiences, staff at the venues, people who came with loved ones who are living with dementia, the cast, production team and funders (whose generous support meant we could take the tour further afield and to more audience members).
