We are excited to be taking our performance Mischief back out on the road this September.
Mischief has been created especially for people with sensory issues, learning disabilities and/or autism, and those living with dementia. It's a 60-minute interactive performance, workshop and celebration featuring comic out-and-about characters, interactive sensory play, and a special mask theatre workshop.
Mischief gives everyone involved, regardless of their sensory differences, the opportunity to play, interact and immerse themselves, and explore their capacity for happiness and laughter. It models different ways for supporters and carers to encourage improvisation, spontaneity and creativity, and gives permission to explore.
Beginning on September 21st, the tour will visit venues in Birmingham, Warwickshire and Worcestershire. Three performances will be open to the public - Whitnash Civic Centre, Whitnash, Leamington Spa CV31 2ND (25th Sept, 2pm) and Sense, Birmingham B29 6NA (26th Sept, 11am and 1:30pm). Both are free performances, but you’ll need to book in advance. If you would like to attend the Whitnash performance, you can book directly with us by calling 01905 312921. This tour of Mischief has been staged due to popular demand, after a run of highly successful performances last year when the show visited venues in Worcestershire and Gloucestershire. Staff at National Star College, Cheltenham commented,
“It was just so wonderful to see all of those students share the space and engage, explore and initiate in their own ways. The fact that there was no talking was so powerful and a reminder to myself. It was a truly magical experience and a real pleasure to be a part of.”
Vamos Theatre's Health Connector, Hazel Ratcliffe, who is organising this year’s tour commented, "We’re delighted to be taking Mischief out again. The performance is an interactive extravaganza that takes joy, fun, music, laughter and, of course, mischief wherever it goes – and gives all participants the opportunity to shine.”
Mischief tours from 21st September. For more about the show, visit the Mischief Show Page.
