We're delighted to welcome a new team of cast and crew to Vamos Theatre. who will take The Best Thing on its 2017 tour of the UK and Belgium.
We are joined by four new performers and a touring technician. Aron De Casmaker (Bill) is a clown performer who has worked internationally for over fifteen years. For the past five, Aron has performed to millions as principal clown in Cirque du Soleil’s Alegria. He is a Graduate of Ecole Philippe Gaulier in France, Scuola Internazionale del Attore Comico in Italy, and holds a Masters of Fine Arts in Theatre Studies from the University of Calgary. Royal Welsh College graduate Hannah Kimpton (Lisa) has great passion for mask theatre, and has toured with Trestle Theatre and Tour de Force, as well as performing for the New Vic Theatre, Soho Theatre and The Arcola Theatre. Louise Mellor (Susan) has an MFA in Physical Theatre from Accademia dell' Arte in Italy, and has wide experience in devised ensemble theatre and clown including work at The Royal Exchange and Chapterhouse Theatre. Marco Nanetti (Dennis) is an Italian actor based in London, whose UK work includes performances at Jacksons Lane, Lyric Hammersmith, The Place and Riverside Studios.
Our touring technican will be Laura Sprake, who joins us from West Yorkshire Playhouse, and whose wide epxerience includes work for Stan's Cafe, Alhambra, Leeds City Varieties, and Northern Ballet.
Rehearsals will begin in January, and the production will open on February 10th 2017 at Malvern Theatres, before heading off on a UK and international tour ending in Bruges, Belgium in April. Click here to view the full tour dates for The Best Thing.
