A warm welcome to Ellie Turner, who has joined us as Executive Producer. Ellie is a highly experienced, passionate and dynamic producer, with over 25 years’ impactful work as Production Manager and Creative Producer across the UK and internationally. Amongst her wide range of projects, Ellie has been co-Executive Producer of the year-long Hadrian’s Wall 1900 Festival (HW1900); Production Manager of the European Capitol of Culture opening in Turku, Finland; Producer of the opening of the first UK City of Culture, Derry~Londonderry; and has been both Production Manager and Producer for Manchester Day annual parade. Ellie also served on the senior management team of renowned outdoor arts company, Walk the Plank.

Ellie’s wide experience and her passion for creating exciting, ambitious and impactful bespoke artistic interventions and events which put artists, communities, the environment and landscape in which they are created at their heart, makes her a wonderful fit for us and we’re delighted that she’s joined the Vamos Theatre team.

Ellie's appoinment comes after our Executive Producer, Claire Morton, moved on to a new role as Senior Producer at Dance Consortium, a network of 19 member theatres which tours large scale international dance across the UK and Ireland, sharing knowledge and expertise to shape the landscape of dance, touring and audience engagement. We wish Claire all love and luck in her new role.

Ellie’s appointment brings with it a different team shape, with Administrator Sarah Hawkins moving to the new role of Operations Manager. Sarah has been with Vamos Theatre since 2006 when she joined us as a member of our youth theatre. Over the following eighteen years, she toured as an actor in three of our professional productions - Finding Joy, Nursing Lives and The Best Thing – and when children came along, we snapped her up as Administrator. We're delighted that she's taken up her new role as Operations Manager, where her vast experience and knowledge will be invaluable.
