A huge Vamos Theatre welcome to Aadil Din, who has joined us as Creative Engagement Co-ordinator.
Aadil is a performer and facilitator who has recently graduated with an MTheatre in Touring Theatre (First Class Honours) from the University of Worcester. He is passionate about access and inclusion, having facilitated several mask and sensory workshops with Vamos Theatre for people with learning disabilities. His recent theatre credits include The Founder in Night Out in Nature (Frozen Light Theatre), Owen in To the Streets! (Birmingham Hippodrome and China Plate Theatre), Taking Flight (Highly Sprung Theatre Company), and Nibbles in West Side Story (Birmingham Hippodrome). Aadil has also toured his own work across the West Midlands and at various Fringe festivals, devising shows that involve therapeutic approaches to encapsulate the beauty of humanity, particularly encouraging work from fellow queer artists of colour.
Aadil comments, "I am extremely excited to be joining the Vamos Theatre team, having worked with Vamos Central and facilitated mask and sensory workshops over the last year as a freelancer. There are many exciting plans already in place, and I look forward to the journey that lies ahead!"
