Our work with and for people living with dementia and their carers has been recognised by the National Dementia Care Awards in the Outstanding Arts and Creativity in Dementia Care category.

The National Dementia Care Awards is an annual event organised by The Journal of Dementia Care, a multidisciplinary journal for all professional staff working with people with dementia, in hospitals, nursing and residential care homes, day units and the community. The awards were created to recognise the very best people in the dementia care sector, whose exceptional work and contributions make better, person-centred care a reality.

We have been shortlisted for our current campaign, The Wednesday Wave, which looks to reduce the isolation of older people during COVID-19, alongside our production for people living with dementia, Sharing Joy, and our workshop for carers, Listening with your Eyes,

Artistic Director Rachael Savage commented, “We feel very honoured to have been chosen as a finalist in these important awards. We believe implicitly in the importance of our work with older people, and particularly those living with dementia - finding ways to transform lives through empathy and human connection.”

Winners will be announced at the virtual Awards Presentation held on Thursday 12th November, 2020.
