We are proud that we are now members of Dementia Action Alliance, the umbrella for organisations across England to connect, share best practice and take action on dementia.

Members include leading charities, hospitals, social care providers, Government bodies, pharmaceuticals, royal colleges, and wellbeing organisations. Dementia Action Alliance works through partnership, and is informed by people living with dementia, and their carers.

Dementia Action Alliance began in 2010 with the launch of the National Dementia Declaration, which saw members commit to action that radically improves the lives of people living with dementia. Members continue to make commitments, using collective expertise to influence Government policy and societal attitudes towards dementia.

Vamos is delighted to have been accepted as a member, which will help us to focus the work we do to make the widest impact. Hazel Ratcliffe, Vamos Theatre’s Strategic Touring Manager commented, “Vamos aims to exceed the criteria that enabled us to become members of the DAA. Watch out for our 2018 Strategic Tour breaking down barriers, empowering people living with dementia, and reducing stigma. We want to be an active and committed force for change within the DAA."
