On May 7th, Vamos will be taking part in Deaffest, the UK’s leading Deaf Film and Arts Festival.
Launched in 2006 to provide Deaf filmmakers with an opportunity to show their work, and be supported in achieving their aspirations, Deaffest has become known nationally and internationally as both a great showcase and place to network. Vamos will be running workshops as part of Young Deaffest, which helps to develop young people’s skills within the film and media industry.
Vamos's Artistic Director Rachael Savage will be leading two workshops at the Wolverhampton-based festival - for young people aged from 9-11 and from 11-17 years, introducing participants to the Vamos full mask style and physical performance skills.
Vamos is delighted to have been invited to be part of Deaffest 2016, which continues the company’s ongoing work with the Deaf Community.
Deaffest runs from Friday 6th to Sunday 8th May. You can book a place on either of the May 7th workshops via www.Deaffest.co.uk
