Our Creative Producer, Honor Hoskins, is running the London Marathon this weekend to raise money for the National Eczema Society.
Honor first trained for the Marathon last year but was injured on her final long run before the event, so deferred her place to 2024. It has been a year of rehab, slowing down and retraining – and since January this year she has run 293 miles, in 11 UK towns and cities, completed a half marathon and endured a lot of rain. Now she’s ready on the starting line.
Like thousands of people, Honor has lived with chronic eczema all her life. Since having her three children it has worsened and it affects every part of her day-to-day life both physically and mentally.
The National Eczema Society is a beacon for those living with eczema; offering information, reassurance, guidance and doing invaluable research into the condition. It’s an organisation flying the flag for everyone living with eczema and their families.
Honor says, “To say I'm bricking it is an understatement, but I am so determined to get round the London Marathon and raise money to help NES support the thousands of people out there who live day in and day out, with this life-long condition.”
We are all supporting Honor in her incredible effort and hope that you can join us in donating to her fundraising page. She has already raised an amazing £2432 - can we help get to £2800?
