We’re pleased to announce our brand new production for 2020, Dead Good, a gloriously funny, wordless theatre show, celebrating the unexpected joys of dying.
It’ll make you laugh, but you’ll need your tissues!
Created in collaboration with hospice staff, undertakers, medical professionals, grief counsellors, people who’ve lost loved ones and those who face, or have faced, dying, Dead Good is an exploration of death but, most importantly, a celebration of life - and an opportunity to get people talking and thinking about the ultimate shared experience.
A co-production with Corn Exchange, Newbury and London International Mime Festival, the production has been in research and development for the last year, and we’ll be spending a week in the rehearsal room this month putting ideas into practice as well as working with our production team on music, staging and projection.
We’re delighted to have two exceptional mask actors in the show, playing protagonists Bob and Bernard. James Greaves has performed in mask all over the world, working extensively with Trestle Theatre and in many Vamos Theatre shows. Alan Riley is a founder member of Trestle Theatre, a performer and writer on The Tweenies, and all round fabulous mask actor.
The show will be in rehearsal from December 2019, and touring from late January 2020, including performances at London International Mime Festival. Venue bookings are already in good shape and the finalised tour will be announced in the late summer. Meanwhile, if you’d like your local venue to host it, let them know!
And don’t be late!

ReplyI agree with Tara, 'Finding Joy' was wonderful, please, please come back to Cornwall.
