Many of you will have met or heard about Kathryn Bettesworth (nee Green). She's been with Vamos Theatre since joining our Young People’s Theatre when she was a student at Worcester University, and after some performance roles (she credits her most noticeable as a dancing cow, which was indeed memorable), she gradually moved into her position as Administrator, where she has been for 5 years.

Kathryn has been an absolute lynchpin for us as we have grown, amassing a huge amount of knowledge and skill, and bringing her humour, commitment and creativity to the job. This month Kathryn's leaving us to finally get to work where she lives, taking up a post at Tobacco Factory in Bristol. We will miss her enormously.

We’ve been more than lucky in finding Kathryn’s replacement – or we should say replacements. Sarah Hawkins and Abbie Payton will job share the role of Administrator, working together to keep things smooth and organised on the good ship Vamos.

Abbie (pictured right) originally started her career in travel and went to many lovely places around the world along the way. After a degree at Chichester University in contemporary dance and business studies, she’s combined administrational work with teaching dance classes and workshops, including wedding couples’ first dances. We feel very fortunate to have her on board.

Anyone who’s seen a Vamos Theatre show is likely to have seen Sarah before (albeit behind a mask!). Like Kathryn, she began her Vamos Theatre journey at Vamos Young People’s Theatre, showing such promise that she was soon performing in our professional touring shows as well as bringing her excellent organisational skills to the tours. After taking time out to start a family, Sarah has taken on the shared role of Administrator, to which she’ll bring a great wealth of knowledge and attention to detail.

We’re delighted that Abbie and Sarah are joining us, and wish Kathryn good times and great fun at Tobacco Factory in Bristol.
