Vamos Artistic Director Rachael Savage began a new project with Arts Etc last week, funded as part of our recent GfA by Arts Council England.
Arts Etc is an inclusive Community Theatre group based in Kidderminster, who look to use the arts and creativity to empower and support its members. Arts Etc wanted to work with Vamos to learn new mask skills, with the aim of including mask performance in their yearly public production, which will take place in summer next year,
Rachael is working with the group over eleven sessions, and has already been impressed by the quality of the group’s performance skills and creative ideas. She commented,
“I'm very excited to be working with members of Arts Etc – a talented, enthusiastic and creative group of people who are already taking to mask really well. I'm looking forward to discovering what they make with the mask skills we are sharing, and to learning as much as I can from them too.”
The project culminates in summer performances by Arts Etc on July 14th and August 25th in Kidderminster. They are free, relaxed performances and f you'd like to attend, details are as follows:
