We’re delighted to confirm the cast and production team for the spring tour of Dead Good, our new show about end of life.

The show will be a four-hander, and we welcome back cast members from previous Vamos Theatre productions – Alan Riley, James Greaves, Angela Laverick and Joshua Patel. They’ll be kept in line by tour technician and all round wonder, Paul Milford.

Alan and James (pictured, during Dead Good Research and Development rehearsals) are two of the most respected full mask actors in the UK, and we are absolutely delighted they will be playing protagonists, Bob and Bernard. They bring with them a wealth of performance experience: both have worked extensively with Trestle Theatre (Alan as a founder member) as well as theatre and TV around the globe. Audiences will know James from playing Danny in Finding Joy, Ryan in A Brave Face and Flo in Nursing Lives: Alan has played Billy in Finding Joy and been Associate Director on many other Vamos Theatre shows. Getting them on the road together is indeed a coup de theatre…

Angela first worked for Vamos Theatre when she played Susan in The Best Thing, and she has also been part of our Walkabout team at festival and events – she will be joining the cast to play Marie. Josh played Ravi in A Brave Face, and was part of our Research and Development rehearsal team for Dead Good – he will play Shafali and other parts in the new production.

It’s brilliant to have all five on board.

We’ve familiar faces as well in the Dead Good production team. Director Rachael Savage will be joined by composer, Janie Armour, set and costume designer Carl Davies, lighting designer, Matt Clutterham, with Dan Hill returning as projection designer and Sam Glossop as sound designer. Masks will once again be made by Russell Dean of Strangeface.

Rehearsals begin in November, and full tour dates will be announced in September.
