Thank you to everyone at Deaffest 2022 for welcoming our Walkabout characters to the festival this weekend.
Performed by actors Alex Nowak and Donna Mullings (from Cbeebies Magic Hands), our spick-and-span Midwives on Call were on hand to deliver hilarity (and babies) on Saturday at the Light House Wolverhampton. We met a fabulous bunch of festival-goers and did our bit to spread fun and naughtiness all around.
Artistic Director Rachael Savage commented, "It was wonderful to be back at Deaffest, and the brilliant Alex and Donna really brought the Midwives' cheeky side to the fore. we really look forward to next time."
Deaffest supports and develops the talents of emerging and established deaf filmmakers and artists from the UK and around the world. The biennial festival showcases films and documentaries by international filmmakers. There are also exhibitions, seminars, workshops, parties and networking during the festival and it was wonderful to be part of the entertainment taking place on one of the busiest days.
