On Thursday 7th November 2019, we’re holding our first Amigos Day here at Worcester Arts Workshop, a chance for our Vamos Amigos to come together and be treated royally!
Vamos Amigos is a group of supporters who want to be more involved with the company and help spread the word about our work. We currently have a fabulous group, who between them share publicity, help us practically at venues or support us through social media and press. Amigos who help us receive a complimentary ticket for a performance of their choice (subject to availability), plus some other goodies like badges and programmes - and now a whole day with us!
Starting with coffee, tea and plenty of biscuits, Amigos can take part in a mask workshop led by Artistic Director Rachael Savage, which will include a sneak preview of the new masks for Dead Good. There will be chance to meet staff, have lunch and hear tips, tricks and talks from other Vamos Amigos: Liz Norman sells out her local venues every year and will share her ideas: Rachael's mum, Sue Roberts, is a former rural touring booker, and will chat about how to inspire and excite promoters and audiences. The day will finish with a talk by Rachael about the making of Dead Good and the chance to ask any questions.
Rachael commented, “We are so looking forward to the 7th. It’ll be the chance to meet some of our Amigos for the first time, to share what we are about, and what Dead Good promises, and for Amigos to meet and chat with us and fellow supporters. It promises to be a genuinely fun-packed day.”
We’ve already received a great responce and we're expecting a good crowd – if you’re an Amigo and would like to come, it’s not too late, just let us know as soon as you can. And if you’re interested in becoming an Amigo, get in touch and we’ll register you. Either way, get in touch here.
