We’re delighted to announce that Sarah Hawkins has become our new Executive Producer, beginning her new role this month.
Many of our audiences, colleagues and partners will already know Sarah, who has been with us for twenty years in various guises, most recently as our Operations Manager. With the departure of Ellie Turner, who returns to her freelance creative producer role based in Wales, Sarah has stepped up into the Executive Producer role, which Artistic Director, Rachael Savage, describes she was, 'born to do'.
Sarah was an inaugural member of Vamos Young People’s Theatre, joining in 2006, and performing in the group’s productions for several years until being cast in her (and our) first professional touring production, Nursing Lives. A talented, funny and precise mask performer, Sarah went on to be part of all our touring productions until she started her family.
Sarah continued with us, firstly as Office Administrator, then, several years later, as Operations Manager, expanding her wide knowledge to include budgeting, tour booking, reporting and office systems.
Twenty years on from Vamos Young People’s Theatre, with a vast array of experience and knowledge behind her, Sarah has been appointed as our new Executive Producer. The whole team could not be happier and we wish her every joy in her new role.
