A huge welcome to our 2025 cohort of early career artists, chosen from national workshops to take part in Vamos Theatre's Elevate programme.
The group joins us this week for a 4-day residency, where they'll get chance to immerse themselves in mask theatre, creating physical character and devising non-verbal theatre, finishing with a performance in central Newbury.
This year's Elevate Residency takes place is 101 Outdoor Arts (National Centre for Arts in Public Space), Newbury, led by Honor Hoskins (Creative Producer, Vamos Theatre), with Gavin Maxwell (GymJam/Frantic Assembly) and Mary-Jayne Russell de Clifford (workshop facilitator, director, BSL consultant). The cohort's Peer Mentor will be Ciaran O’Breen (performer, workshop leader, deaf/fluent BSL) and Well-Being Director is Aadil Din (Creative Engagement Co-Ordinator, Vamos Theatre).
Vamos Theatre’s Elevate programme is designed to train and inspire the next generation of artists from diverse communities across the UK. Participants need to be 18+ and serious about a career in the theatre industry.
Welcome and congratulations to: Eve Biard, Bertie Bond, Katherine Church, Lucie Dolezal, Molly Gooch, Poppy King, Rachael Maltby, Jude Powell, Holly Roberts, Jonathan Skinner, and Mai Worth. You can read participant biographies here
