A big shout out to the National Activity Providers Association (NAPA) for launching this year’s National Day of Arts in Care Homes, which will take place on Wed, 24th September.

The National Day of Arts in Care Homes is a day to celebrate the deep impact that the arts can have and how care homes can embed the arts into care and activity provision to enhance and promote the wellbeing of participants.

Now in its seventh year, the National Day of Arts in Care Homes continues to grow in both reach and impact. With a theme this year all about being green, care homes are being encouraged to engage in activities that promote creativity, sustainability and connection – all dear to our hearts at Vamos!

We’ll be marking the day in the final stages of rehearsal for our upcoming tour of Sharing Joy, a vibrant and colourful interactive performance created for people living with dementia, learning disabilities and other neurological conditions, which tours care homes, theatres and other care settings from the 26th Sept to the 19th October, 2025. Sharing Joy  subscribes whole-heartedly to the importance of the arts in care, encouraging high levels of participation, confidence, attention and communication, but most importantly, creating happiness, well-being, laughter and engagement.

Good luck to NAPA for a wonderful day of creativity and joy on the National Day of Arts in Care Homes. For more about taking part, read NAPA's e-magazine here. For more about Sharing Joy, see our show pages.
