A huge thank you to the Arena Theatre, Wolverhampton for hosting the opening performances of our 2025 tour of Boy on the Roof.
The show, which has been restaged for this year’s tour, is the story of an unlikely friendship between Liam, a teenage boy with ADHD, and his 91-year-old neighbour, Albert. Performed without words, it features a cast of three playing multiple parts - mask and physical theatre actors Angela Laverick and Emilie Largier, and Cirque du Soleil performer, Aron De Casmaker.
Boy on the Roof, named as a Top 50 Show of 2024 by The Stage and winner of an Offcom Award for its performances at MimeLondon 2024, was originally created through Community Conversations across the UK. We spent a year learning from people’s personal experiences of ADHD, in particular those of teenagers and parents.
The new staging features extended video and soundtrack content, as well as some plot twists and turns – so if you saw the show last year there will be some interesting changes. The opening performances have been received brilliantly by audiences and we are very excited to continue the tour until March 8th taking in venues old and new.
