Following its hugely successful tour of the UK, our award-winning show about ADHD, Boy on the Roof, is now available to watch online.
We're delighted to be able to share a film of the performance with out audiences, recorded especially for online viewing at New Wolsey Theatre, Ipswich during our recent UK tour.
The production, which is about ADHD, was created with the help of Community Conversations. Staged in theatres, neighbourhood venues and online over the first year of the show's creation, we invited people to share their own stories – initially of streets, neighbourhoods and connections, but soon including topics that were being frequently brought up during the conversations – ADHD, aging and loneliness. These formed the backbone of the show's stories and characters.
Performed without words, it features a cast of three playing multiple parts - mask and physical theatre actors Angela Laverick and Emilie Largier, and Cirque du Soleil performer, Aron De Casmaker, alongside technicians Rianne Cheetham and Lucy Farrant. Named as a Top 50 Show of 2024 by The Stage and winner of an Offcom Award for its performances at MimeLondon 2024, the show was restaged for 2025 touring, featuring extended video and soundtrack content, as well as some new plot twists and turns.
