A big Vamos Theatre welcome to our three new cast members, who’ll be taking Boy on the Roof on the road in early 2025. We’re delighted to welcome Emilie Largier to the company, and to welcome back Aron De Casmaker and Angela Laverick, who join us again for a national tour.

Vamos Theatre audiences will know Aron De Casmaker from his performance as Bob in our first tour of Dead Good and Susan’s father, Bill, in The Best Thing. Aron is a clown performer, writer and teacher who has travelled the world for love of his craft. Originally from Canada, he has worked internationally for over 20 years with companies including Cirque du Soleil, Stufish Entertainment, Slava’s Snowshow, Whynot Theatre, and Mump and Smoot to name a few. He is a founding member of the award winning Theatrophy – Undead Theatre as well as Miscreations Theatre, a company developing the ridiculous in the North East of England. Aron is a Graduate of Ecole Philippe Gaulier in France, Scuola Internazionale del Attore Comico in Italy, and holds a Masters of Fine Arts in Theatre Studies from the University of Calgary in Canada.

Angela Laverick played Ryan’s mum in our initial tour of A Brave Face and the lead role of Susan in The Best Thing. Angela trained at Guildford School of Acting and her theatre credits include Cinderella (Newbury Corn Exchange), Crime and Punishment (Gods & Monsters), The Gruffalo (West End/Tall Stories) and many others.  Angela jointly runs Tor Theatre and is a community artist at Wiltshire Creative.

Joining us for the first time is performer Emilie Largier. Emilie is a U.K based physical theatre performer, movement director  and theatre maker. She trained at Fourth Monkey Actor Training Company, graduating in 2020, and has since then been working for screen (Heartstopper S1, The Bastard Son & the Devil Himself) and theatre (Vertebra Theatre, GymJam Theatre) in the U.K. and Denmark (Glad Teater, Kristjan Ingimarsson, Hangar People). She makes her own work under the name of Ruckle Theatre.

We’re delighted to welcome all three performers, who took part in an initial rehearsal week this month, and we’re looking forward to starting rehearsals together in January 2025.
