Mask Making workshop

About the workshop

During this one day mask making workshop, suitable for schools and colleges, students are carefully and closely guided through the stages of creating a mask, from deciding the character, molding the face, 'pulling' the mask, painting it, and (most importantly) wearing their own personal creation.

The mask making workshop is suitable for any ability, and no special art skills are required.

Masks are primed and painted, and if looked after carefully, will be a valuable school or college resource for years to come.

I would absolutely recommend the workshop as I felt that both myself and the students learned so much ..The students loved the day and have already started asking about whether we could have another one!

I don’t think the girls realised the amount of skill and expertise they were watching until they began the workshop, when suddenly they understood how hard working in a mask genre can be. They really loved the workshop - and got so much out of it.

Seeing the children so proud of the masks they'd made was brilliant
