Dressing up, wearing wigs, playing in front of a camera in a mask  - what's not to like? I had a fun day today with Vamos re creating a 60s feel for the publicity for their new show The Best Thing. The costume store had been well and truly raided, but authenticity was name of the game. Old vinyls and a vintage record player helped create the scene. I don't quite have Dusty's smile or Twiggy's legs but Graham managed to capture some great shots. Full marks to Rachael for directing the shoot and acting as wardrobe mistress, helping to keep my dignity in an exceptionally short dress.

Was a pleasure to work with Vamos. They create great work and always seem to honour and respect their subject matter. This feels especially important to me on this show as they are delving into my mum's history - a single mum in the 60s who had to give up her baby. So when Rach asked me if I could do the shoot and wear my mum's mask, of course I said yes.

Looking forward to seeing the finished shots (sure a bit of editing and air brushing will be needed!).
