Last weekend Vamos had a record number of Walkabout teams out and about at festivals and events.

Cheapskate Caterers were there to lend a (not very helpful) hand at Merthyr Tydfil Food Festival. Dodging the British summer rain, our two waitresses pulled pints, handed out samples, played with the locals and even got to try the homebrew! It was great to be at such a lovely festival celebrating local community and local produce.

Meanwhile, down in Devon, Crimplene Crusaders got into some fine mischief at the marvellous Livestock Festival, showing off their hula hooping skills and even playing sheep bingo (two fat ladies, anyone?)

Closer to home, our trusty Midwives on Call were on hand to make sure all medical emergencies and chance births were covered on the streets of Bromsgrove at the ever-diverse Bromsgrove Festival. Our girls had a wonderful time with visitors and shoppers alike, and (surprise, surprise!) there were quite a few babies born along the way.

Kate Jenkins, organiser of Livestock said, “All went really well and the Crimplenes went down a treat at the festival. They certainly added a "je ne sais quoi" and both were lovely to work with.”

Huge thanks to our teams – Marissa, Liam, Honor, Charlotte, Kathryn and Angela – and to organisers and bookers: Marie Oldaker and the Bromsgrove Festival team, Kate from Livestock, and everyone at Merthyr Tydfil Food Festival for looking after us so well.
