Vamos was at full strength this weekend, performing at Glastonbury Festival, at Offene Garten 2015 in Fulda, Germany, and (no less glamorously) at Bromsgrove Festival back home in the West Midlands.

The three festivals all had their own particular character, and the Vamos teams adapted the acts to suit each, taking our Midwives on Call and Crimplene Crusaders out and about, along with a specially created act for Germany.

Bromsgrove Festival was its usual laid back and sunny self, with the Crimplenes making sure the good people of Bromsgrove kept neat and tidy and well behaved (no easy feat!). Down in the South West, our second Crimplene team had their hands full keeping an eye on the Glastonbury revellers, and in the end couldn’t help but flirt with policemen, and dance into the night. If you can’t beat them…

Meanwhile, over in Germany, at Offene Garten 2015, Fulda, our third Walkabout team performed three acts especially adapted to suit the festival’s theme of ‘garden treasures’: the (slightly better behaved!) Crimplenes undertook park keeper duties; our ever popular Midwives became Natures Nurses, and we created the outdoors-themed Day at the Park especially for the event.

Thank you to everyone who looked after us this weekend and helped to make everything such a success: in Germany, Angelika Lieder, manager of Schlosstheater; Offene Garten festival organiser, Yvonne Winter; and our agent Angelika Martin: Fool’s Paradise for organising everything Glastonbury, as well as Area Organiser Haggis Mcleod, and new friends Granny Turismo and The Naturals: in Bromsgrove, thanks go to Marie Oldaker, Street Arts Coordinator. Big thanks also, of course, to all our performers for their hard work and creativity over this fantastic weekend.
